Today, as we look towards the weekend and honouring our heroes, I wanted to share a couple of cards that I made for October edition of Making Cards Magazine.
I created this set of two cards for Remembrance Day using the IndigoBlu Poppycock stamps together with various Tim Holtz, Sizzix and Ranger Ink products and because I know there are quite a few of my followers and friends that might not be able to see an issue of the magazine, then I thought now was the perfect time to share these with you all and show all the detail of each card! As always, I hope you love them...
For the first card, I designed a circular card and used two poppies and the leaves from the stamp set. All the poppy images are stamped in black and embossed with clear powder before being coloured with a Barn Door Distress Marker Pen and highlighted with an orange pencil.
As you can see on the background, I have used various Distress products and Tissue Tape. I also used die cut words from the Sizzix Friends Thinlits die set by Tim Holtz
The second card uses just one of the poppies and this time I mounted it onto a black card blank which I think looks so striking in appearance!

Your cards are beautiful! I love that you used a poppy, such a remembrance of this time from my childhood. The vibrant colors just pop off the card. I will definitely keep this in mind for my next project.
