My Artful Year (Part 1)

Hey everyone!
How are you all? Recovered from the big day? I hope Santa bought you all you could wish for and you all had a wonderful time! Me? I've eaten for England and having a fabulous time spent with family and friends recharging my batteries ready for the new year ahead, it will soon be here before we know it! So today, I thought it would be nice to look back over my year in craft and share some of my favourite cards and projects with you! So, grab a coffee or maybe a G&T and I hope you enjoy this look back at what I got up to in 2014!

MY ARTFUL YEAR

JANUARY
A new year bought me an exciting new adventure when I joined the Simon Says Stamp team and this was my first project that I created for them.
My second card was created for a Craftwork Cards shows on Create and Craft and I made a flower pot card which contains a hidden message all created using their die cut flowers and papers.

FEBRUARY 2014
After four years , this month saw me say goodbye to my time at Clarity Stamp and I wanted to make sure that I went out with a bang and created this card using the cute bunnies in a night time scene, gazing out to my trademark moon and skyline, all created using Distress Inks.
February also saw me in the mood for love and I created this Valentine's Shadow box for Simon Says Stamp using lots of Tim Holtz products. This little project has actually become one of my most popular posts EVER and thank you for all your visits and lovely comments about this piece.
...and this box canvas using Wendy Vecchi products.
MARCH 2014
With Spring approaching fast I created this shabby chic butterfly frame for a Simon Says Stamp challenge and you know me by now, it featured lots of Tim Holtz products including one of my favourite ever stamp sets ~ Papillon.
Another Simon Says Stamp project featuring lots of dimension made for the Thank Your Lucky Stars Challenge.
APRIL 2014
For April, I created this card using a combination of Hero Arts stamps, Tim Holtz die and Idea-ology and a Wendy Vecchi stamped quote.
I also took you on a journey around the world with this project....
...and I also had the honour of guest designing for my friend, Sam Poole using her gorgeous new Woodland stamps. I made this wall hanging using my favourite stamp from the collection, Mr Fox.
MAY 2014
In May, I made this tag using items that I'd created for other projects but never used and you know, it has to be one of my favourite tags, EVER! I absolutely loved how it turned out and it shows that you should never throw anything away!
I also started to think about Summer and made this match box style project, which you can check out HERE.
This card was one of two that I created for Making Cards Magazine and was featured on the cover of the magazine. I'm always so honoured to see my card projects on the cover and I don't think I'll ever not have that buzz when I see the new issue hit the newstands ~ it's the best feeling ever!
 JUNE 2014
In June, I created a two card set for Making Cards Magazine for Father's Day and this is one of those cards, using the faux metal technique and featuring, yep you guessed it ~ plenty of Tim Holtz products.
I broke out my Gelli Plate to make this piece for Simon Says Stamp and used Dina Wakley paints to create the background.
Another card for Simon Says Stamp using the faux batik technique...
...and of course, I tried to take part ( I did miss a couple of months, oops) in Tim Holtz's 12 Tags of 2014 and this was my interpretation of the June tag.
I really hope you've enjoyed this little look back at the first half of my craft year and I'll be back tomorrow with July to December.

Thank you so much for popping by today! Have a great day and be safe!
Love Emma xxx

  2. Lovely things, thank you for sharing them. I am a new follower, and I love all your creations. I never knew there was a Create and Craft TV in the USA. Thanks for the link to the UK channel, from which I found my way to the US site. Fun, but I know it's going to cost me $!
