Hey everyone!
At the moment, I'm sitting here with the sun streaming through the windows and it's hard to believe that we have gale force winds forecast for later, some areas have snow and yesterday, only a mile away from my home, there was a mini tornado!!! It all happened around lunchtime yesterday, and the skies turned black and in ten minutes we had torrential rain and hailstorms, wind, lightning and thunder ~ it was like a scene from the Wizard of Oz and then it was gone! The sun came out and shone for the rest of the day ~ crazy weather!!
In the meantime, I've just popped by to share a Designs With A Difference card that was in the January issue of Making Cards Magazine! You can read all about how I made this card in the magazine ~ back issues are available HERE but I thought I'd share it with you all and show you it in detail! As always, I hope you love it!
If you want to see how I created this background, then I have a tutorial HERE.
Some close ups of the detail.
Before I go, I wanted to let you all know that the February issue of Making Cards is now out and you will not want to miss it as there is a bumper amount of FREE papers with this issue ~ 32 in total and they are all gorgeous! Plus, I have not one, not two but THREE projects in this issue and they are all about LOVE and Valentine's Day!
Thank you so much for stopping by today and stay safe in this unpredictable weather!!
See you all soon ~ love Emma xxx
Hi Emma, I stumbled across your site thru someone else's. I think it was l'ill Inkers hop. I've never used their products, and have decided I just need some! But I had to tell you how I love your designs. I usually don't like heavy card fronts because of the postage. I try to keep them thin. But this card is fabulous!!! I'm going to see if I can find the magazine here in the U.S.. Thanks for introducing me to the mag and yourself. Jessica
ReplyDeleteLove your card Emma. So much texture and depth but still postable... clever. :)

ReplyDeleteI love the way you have used the owl but still made a wintery card, thanks for sharing :)
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful - I wonder if it's a relation to the owl which has been hooting in my garden at night recently..every time I wake I hear it :)
