Night Owl

Hey everyone!

At the moment, I'm sitting here with the sun streaming through the windows and it's hard to believe that we have gale force winds forecast for later, some areas have snow and yesterday, only a mile away from my home, there was a mini tornado!!! It all happened around lunchtime yesterday, and the skies turned black and in ten minutes we had torrential rain and hailstorms, wind, lightning and thunder ~ it was like a scene from the Wizard of Oz and then it was gone! The sun came out and shone for the rest of the day ~ crazy weather!!

In the meantime, I've just popped by to share a Designs With A Difference card that was in the January issue of Making Cards Magazine! You can read all about how I made this card in the magazine ~ back issues are available HERE but I thought I'd share it with you all and show you it in detail! As always, I hope you love it!

As you can see I created a freestanding box card and what's so wonderful about it is that you can fold it down flat for posting!

I used lots of various Tim Holtz products on this project including Distress Inks to create the background and moon, Sizzix Alterations dies to created the scene and added crinkle ribbon to complete the card. The backing papers are from Lili of the Valley.

    Hi Emma, I stumbled across your site thru someone else's. I think it was l'ill Inkers hop. I've never used their products, and have decided I just need some! But I had to tell you how I love your designs. I usually don't like heavy card fronts because of the postage. I try to keep them thin. But this card is fabulous!!! I'm going to see if I can find the magazine here in the U.S.. Thanks for introducing me to the mag and yourself. Jessica

    So beautiful - I wonder if it's a relation to the owl which has been hooting in my garden at night recently..every time I wake I hear it :)
