Roses Are Red....

Hi everyone and a big hello to all my new friends and followers who have visited me and my work from Tim Holtz's Blogworthy Links... Welcome aboard and I hope you enjoy the crafty, inky ride...otherwise known as life at Chez Williams'!! Thank you to everyone who left me a comment, either here, on Facebook or on Twitter. I was overwhelmed with the response and it definitely was the right kinda medicine to give me a boost!!!

After the whirlwind excitement of Wednesday and THAT post, it's going to be a hard act to follow and as some of you know, I'm a little under the weather at the moment and not firing on all cylinders but before I had this little blip in my schedule, I did make another tag to accompany the Queen of Hearts tag and here it is. I've taken lots of pics to show you all the detail on this tag and as always, I hope you like it!!
Once again, I used Tim's Valentine Blueprint Stamp set to create this large tag and used Distress Marker Pens to colour the image. I covered the tag with Tissue Paper, blended DI's over the top and then set about to making the roses, using the Tattered Florals Alterations Die from Sizzix. I sprayed each of the petals with Dylusions Ink Spray in Postbox Red and then misted them with Perfect Pearls Heirloom Gold.
As you all know, I love dimension on my cards and building up the layers and I added lots of interesting layers, such as chipboard hearts which I die cut using the Sizzix Mini Hearts Movers and Shapers Die and I also added leaves and branches using the Mini Branch and Leaf set.

To complete the tag, I added a Happy Valentine ticket from Tim's Odds and Ends Stamp set and some seam binding!
So, I hope this tag inspires you to make your loved one a little something special for Valentine's day on Thursday!!

I'll see you all again very soon and thanks for your continued support and the get well messages...I appreciate every single one!
Bye for now....love Emma xxx

  6. Simply exquisite! The roses remind me of sugar paste cake decorations - I wonder if you'd also do well with that. Not that you haven't enough to do, of course. It'll be good when your new work filters through post Januarius Horribilis!

    Thanks for the lovely comment!
