Explore, Discover, Dream....

Hey everyone!

Hope you are all good and having a lovely week! I'm not sure where time goes but it's definitely flying and I can't believe it's already Thursday but today, I'm just stopping by to share another of my Creativation 2017 makes with you all!

This was such a great die to work with and I can see so many future projects using this Tiny Houses die, combining it with idea-ology or other Sizzix dies ~ it's just one of those products that you definitely need in your craft room and for this particular project, I created a summer garden and used the original WildFlowers Die, combining them with punched butterflies.

Each of the boxes are die cut from mount board and then painted with Distress Paints. I then added some Designer Tape around each of the edges before attaching them to hand cut bases, which I just thought finished them off perfectly! To create the little roofs of each house, I used metal foil tape, embossed with the Latticework Texture Fade, which I then attached to the mountboard roofs. I then alcohol inked the metal to create this gorgeous finish.
The wildflowers were die cut from watercolour card and then coloured using Distress Inks and a water brush before I attached them onto the fronts of my box using Collage Medium...
...and I even attached a flower to the back, just to create that added extra touch!
You'll also notice that I added a border around the bottom of each house and this was die cut using the borders from the Stitched Ovals die!
...and here they are in pride of place on the Sizzix booth at Creativation 2017!
Thank you to Jenny Marples for this image!

I'll be back with my final share of Creativation makes over the weekend and I really hope you enjoyed this post and thanks so much for stopping by today!
See you soon ~ love Emma x

  2. These turned out so beautifully! I love the effect the embossed foil tape creates on the roof-very decorative and dainty! I would like to try this but am always worried that the pattern will disappear when I transfer it onto the surface. The tiny house dies will definitely be something I will add to my collection-your project sealed that decision! It is WONDERFUL! Thank you for sharing your awesome talent.

  10. I love the houses and I am still not sure whether I should get the die. I have the wildflower dies and the stitched ovals - but I am so scared to see the small rims of the houses and how the roof will be attached to them? I would love to make the houses to hang them from gifts (like 3-D-tags)- but I don't want to spend money on the die and then it isn't working... Still so undecided...
