It's Christmas....in July!!!!

Good morning everyone!

It's another sunny day here in London and even though it's lovely to see the sunshine...if I'm to be really honest, it is a little too hot for me!! Now those you know me, know that I just melt in this weather and feel I need to head for the nearest igloo, so...what better way to keep cool than to make Christmas cards!! Yes, you did hear right...it's all been about Christmas for the last couple of weeks here at Chez Williams'. I've got quite a few commissions and DT work is already seeing Christmas designs coming through...so, without further ado, here is the first of those Christmas cards which I made for Barbara Gray and the recent Clarity Stamp shows on Create and Craft last weekend!

As always, I hope you like it...
The tree is stamped in black Archival Ink and coloured with Distress Markers, not Promarkers as Dean mentioned on the show! I added some Distress Inks around the edge and then matted and layered onto co-ordinating card.
As with all my Clarity DT work, I like the stamps to do the talking, I don't like to overcomplicate the cards with lots of trimmings ~ I just like to have the stamp as the focal point because that's what it's all about...Clarity Stamps!!!
The writing around the edge, is actually from my own fair hand...I just thought it worked so well and gave a fabulous border to the actual image.

So, that's it from me for today and I'll be back tomorrow with another share but until then, I just wanted to say a HUGE thank you to everyone who left me a comment on my previous blog post for Craftwork Cards...I really do appreciate the love and all your visits!

See you tomorrow and bye for now!
Love Emma xxx

  2. It's stunning and I love that you have used your handwriting which is fabulous. I showed my friend the card you sent me and she commented on your handwriting. We both love it! So stylish but then I'm not surprised as you are a stylish lady!! I like to keep my stamped images as the focal point too. Lots of embellishments are pretty but they can detract from the stamp. You always get it right lovely! Take care Zo xx

  3. As always from you Emma, this is elegance personified! Even your handwriting is elegant ....... mine has never been all that good but is deteriorating even more with the onset of old age and loss of dexterity, lol!

PS I don't like the heat either and have spent the last few days hiding indoors next to a big fan. Pity we don't get sunshine without excess heat very often..... and here endeth my moans for today, :D!

Don't quite know how I found your blog but pleased I did. Often admired your cards when shown on Barbara Grey's shows, now I know a little about you.

  6. Lovely as always Emma. Your designs stand out on the clarity shows, and you must spend a lot of time on them as they are always top class! How do you manage to get your handwriting so uniform - it looks like a stamp - perhaps you should market some? Hugs xx
