Snowbird...

So, today has definitely been one of those days...I had to pop out to do some shopping and get my glasses updated with a new prescription and what should've taken only 1 hour or so...took me 4!!! The glasses went to plan and they did those while I waited but then coming home, the strap on my new bag broke just as I was crossing a busy road and I nearly got run over trying to save my bag and everything in it being squashed by an oncoming car. I then suddenly realised as I was sitting in a massive traffic jam for 45 minutes, I'd forgotten to get the vital ingredient that I'd actually gone out for, for something that I'm halfway through cooking. Peppermint Essence...would you believe it would be so hard to find!?!?! Four shops and one hour later...I finally found it but apparently people don't cook anymore so, ingredients like this are a thing of the past!! Hmm, this is what I was told in Tesco...and guess where I found the recipe that I'm cooking...yep, the little booklet Tesco are giving away for Christmas!!! Arghhhhh!! So now, I'm home...bag~less, in need of a cuppa and a sit down, way behind schedule but I do have Peppermint Essence ~ thank you Sainsburys!!!!

So, after my fun and games...I thought I'd just drop by to say hello and share another couple of cards in my Christmas countdown. As with a few of the previous cards I've been showing, these were also made for Making Cards Magazine...I hope you like them!!

The stamp is from Stampendous and the papers are from Authentique. I made the rose using a die from Paperartsy and the rosettes are using my beloved Sizzix/Tim Holtz dies. I also used a Tim Holtz Alterations Mini Cabinet die, to die cut the aperture in my shadow box card and on the second card, I stamped the image onto card, die cut using the Baroque die.

Okey dokey, time for me to start perusing my list and see if I can actually tick anything off it!! You never know, there might be a miracle!
Thank you all for stopping by to take a look at today's post and I really appreciate all the visits at this busy time of year...
See you soon with some more cards and creations...bye for now ~ Love Emma xxx

  5. What a day! Hope you have a much better one today. Love the robin - we have them in our garden, along with many others and I've learned so much from watching them come to feed. The details you include never fail to be amazing - those frosted berries - yum! As in, yummy art, not that I want to eat them as such.

  6. oh wonderful especially that rose..

So Tesco don't stock something but put it in their booklet....I'd have waved it in their faces! So people don't cook - maybe that person didn't but I do. Can't stand shop bought stuff much these days, its so much better if you can make it yourself
