Some Rules Are Made To Be Broken...

Hi everyone!!

Hope you're all having a good weekend, so far! It's been another busy old week, here at Chez Williams' but there's been a lot of fun and a few exciting developments along the way. All will be revealed soon...

In the meantime, here's a pictorial week in the life of Emma...lol!

The new issue of Making Cards magazine came out and I had a little bit of a celebration because for the fifth month in a row, I made the cover!! Woohoo!! I have three separate projects in the magazine and two of those are on the cover!! If you do manage to grab a copy and see the cards, I'd love to hear what you think!!
After a very busy start to the week, working on magazine commissions, I actually ventured out, into the outside world on Thursday and I spent the day at QVC, where finally, after promising each other for a while but never finding time in our busy schedules I had lunch, coffee and a catch up with my lovely friend, Julie Hickey. As everyone knows, Julie is a fabulous demonstrator, true inspiration in the world of craft and she does an amazing job fronting the Craftwork Cards shows on QVC and the couple of shows that she did on Thursday were no exception. Fabulous new products, lots of sell outs and so many gorgeous CWC goodies to tempt us all with.
Then yesterday, *shock horror*...I actually went out again and spent the day at Ally Pally with my lovely friend Sarah Hurley. I did manage to give into temptation and buy a few bits and pieces, and I also managed to catch up with Barbara Gray, Jennie from The Artistic Stamper and of course, Julie and Sue from Craftwork Cards. Along the way, I also bumped into a few other friends that I've made through the world of crafting and a new friend, the lovely Kim Robertson who I met at the Craftwork Cards stand. We instantly connected with each other and I'm really looking forward to getting to know Kim better.
My Crafty Haul from Ally Pally
A beautiful day and a beautiful view from Ally Pally.

Finally, last but never least...here's a card that I made using some more of the fabulous Save The Date collection from Kaisercraft and one of my all time favourite quotes! As always, I really hope you like it....
If you'd like to see what I used and how I made this card, then click here. All Kaisercraft products and lots more, is available to buy from Merly Impressions.
So, that's about it for me and my round up of my week...I'll be back tomorrow with another share but now, I've got 10 sets of instructions to finish for the magazine. So, I'll be round to visit all your blogs asap and until then, enjoy the rest of your weekend and see you soon!!
Bye for now...love Emma xxx

  1. WOW well done Emma - cover girl again.
Loving all you've shown us in this post - knew you wouldn't be able to resist the call of Ally Pally. I've never been to this show before but it's premièring in the Midlands next month at Kettering and I am sooo hopeful of going on the Sunday, that is if I am not to tired after driving to Falmouth on the Friday and back on the Saturday after a Uni Open Day for my youngest - sure I will manage to find a small spark of energy from somewhere!!!
Take care, and thanks for the continuous inspiration you provide.

  2. What a great write-up of an exhilarating week for a lovely lady! Only right you should reap the rewards of the intensity of your day job, Emma - may this be the gateway to all things new for you.

Now that you are back at Chez Williams, aka Emma Cards HQ, this card is lovely but I'll pop over to Merly Impressions for a fuller comment.

Enjoy the writing - it may be a respite from so much activity (or maybe not).
