The Wild West

"Thoughts are like arrows: once released, they strike their mark." ~ American Indian Proverb

Hello friends!

Hope you all had a good weekend. Today, I've been in my element playing with my Distress Marker Pens that arrived over the weekend. I haven't got anywhere near, all the colours but I've been fortunate enough to get a few and if you haven't tried these pens, then I can definitely confirm that everything that you read about them is true...they are amazing.

So, before I go back to play with my pens and see what else these precious little babies can do...I thought I'd share the first of my Clarity samples with you all and as always, I really hope that you like it.
I actually created the backing paper by hand because I just couldn't find anything else in my crafty stash that suited the images but I was so pleased with how the it turned out and the effect that it gave. It's such a fabulous way of giving texture to a card. The images of the Navojo Indians were coloured with Promarkers and the arrows were die cut, from the Tim Holtz, Love Struck Alterations die.

So, that's about it from me for today...I'll be round to have a look at what you've all been making later tonight.

See you tomorrow with another Clarity share from the Wild West!
Bye for now and thanks for stopping by...I really do appreciate it!
Love Emma xxx

  1. Your homemade paper works perfectly with these gorgeous images. I must say the stamps on yesterdays programme were not one's I'd have chosen but after seeing all the samples you and the rest of the DT had made I changed my mind completely. They were so unusual. Can't wait to see the rest.
Hope you've had a good Monday.

  2. Fabulous card Emma and your handmade paper is brilliant. Looking forward to seeing some more.
I'd agree with Lisa in that yesterdays stamps didn't "grab me" until I'd seen the samples from you wonderful girls in the design team - the inspiration that you provide beyond belief.

  3. Thank you for your lovely comments today about my Snippets cards. I watched most of the shows on Sunday (and recorded it all for future reference - good thing as I have already had to go back to check the mica powder on the black card bit as mine went wrong), and your cards were absolutely great. I have put those Distress pens on my wish list, having seen them on Joanna Sheen's newsletter. Have a really good week. xx Maggie
