Friends Are Like Flowers

Hope you all had a wonderful weekend. It's been a bit of a hectic day in the world of Emma, which is why I'm a bit late posting this. I've actually worked all day long but at the end of it...I don't seem to have anything to show!! My mojo seemed to disappear into a cup of coffee first thing this morning and since then, I haven't been able to find it... lol But tomorrow is another day and hopefully, with a sprinkle of fairy dust...my mojo will return! My Mum has also been unwell again today and I've had to step in to look after her...Florence Nightingale had to make a comeback!

But in between all of this, I did manage to make this card over the weekend and I hope you like it...
The flower image is from a set of stamps called Hippy Chick by Kaisercraft and I am so in love with their products at the moment. Their products are absolutely gorgeous and fabulous quality...if you haven't tried them out, you must!!

I used Kuretake's Kurecolor pens to colour in the image, which is stamped on Craftwork Cards, textured digital cardstock and can be bought here. Now, I love my Promarkers, couldn't do without them and you all know that I use them a lot in my work but what I love about these particular pens from Kuretake, is that like the wonderful Promarkers they are twin tipped but unlike Promarkers, with these you have one tip that is so fine and wonderful for detail work. They also blend really well and have a great range of colours. And of course, you can use them in conjunction with Promarker pens...
I matted the image on co-ordinating papers and then die cut some black butterflies, using Tim's Mini Butterfly Movers & Shapers die. Then to add some colour to the these, I used Kuretake's Chalk Writer pens which are perfect for using on black card as they still show the true colour of the pen and look fabulous. As a final touch, I doodled a series of dots to give the look of the butterfly flight patterns and stamped a message using a stamp from Creative Expressions.

Well, I hope you all have a wonderful evening and hopefully, I'll get around to visiting all your blogs tonight to comment on your wonderful creations!!
See you soon and as always, thank you for all the lovely comments on last weeks Clarity posts. You've made me laugh and smile and it's all of my blogging buddies comments that make me realise that all the hard work is worth it!! Thank you, everyone!!

Love Emma

and I really love the way you've made the butterflies seem to be in mid-flight...right down to the trails they've left behind...once again your card seems to come to life! :D
