Winter Friend

So, July came and went in a puff of glitter and we're already in August! I must admit this is the time of year that I love...the intensity of heat is hopefully, getting less with each day that comes and goes. The Autumn, with all it's glorious colours is just around the corner and then, we have the countdown to Christmas!!

And today, I am sharing my first Christmas card with you all....and find out, what's behind the closed doors!!
CARD FRONT
Then, it's time for you open the doors, to reveal this fabulous Gorjuss girl, with her winter friend!

There was only one way to start my Christmas card making and that is with the wonderful new Gorjuss decoupage kits from Crafthouse Press. There are so many stunning images to choose from, that I think when you buy these decoupage sheets, you'll be spoilt for choice! I know that when I was lucky enough to receive them all, I didn't know where to start and I have so many fabulous ideas, and not just card making, that I will be sharing with you all....using the images.

I also wanted to give a quick mention to the lovely Suzanne, who is responsible for all these beautiful Gorjuss illustrations. I recently had an email from her and I really can't thank her and Grant, enough...for all their support that they have shown my work and cards.

On this card, I wanted to create an icy, wonderland feel to the card and using the new snowflake punches from Martha Stewart, together with some Stickles Glitter Glue, it really gave the feel of a cold, snowy day. On the big chipboard snowflake, I used Ranger's Paint Dabber and then painted Tim Holtz's Rock Candy Crackle Paint over the top and this is fabulous for creating the impression of cracked ice.

So, I hope you all like my first Christmas card and now, that I've made this one...I'm already hearing those sleighbells ring and dreaming of a white Christmas...and I think you'd better all watch out for plenty more over the next few months!

Hope you all have a fabulous week...
