Love...

I made this card as a commission for someone to give to a loved one on Valentine's Day tomorrow and I'm so pleased at the way it's turned out, I actually wish I could keep it now... lol!! I'm awful like that, when I make a card, I really should make two, one to give away and one for me to keep in a portfolio so that I will never be parted from my little masterpieces!
So, how did I make it?  Well, the main heart image is made up from two sets of peel off sticker sheets. One sheet of gold outline stickers and the other sheet, are the same images but replicated in double sided sticky shapes.

Firstly I use the gold outline sticker and place my chosen image onto a piece of cream card which has been cut to size and which I distressed along the edges. Then from the second sheet of sticky shape patterns, I use the negative pattern, which I then, inlay inside the gold outline. To get the two tone image of red and gold glitter, inside the heart, I inlay one image at a time before covering it in glitter. This way you won't get a bleed of glitter into either colour. Now that's done, the hard part is out of the way, all that's left to do is make the card....

I used some gorgeous papers from one of my favourite companies, K & Company and once again, aged the edges of the paper with distress inks. I then overlaid another piece of the same paper which I ripped down the edge and also over stamped, with a script writing image. Once the main image is attached to the card, all that I did then was add a small satin ribbon and then on another small piece of paper, I stamped the word "Love" and adhered this to the side of the card, slightly overlapping the edge but making sure that it will still fit into the envelope.
